Collibra Data Governance Center, Enables Governance around CCAR reporting
In order to ensure compliance with CCAR reporting requirements within the organization, establishing Data Ownership, Lineage and Traceability to the required data elements that are reported and aggregated for each department within the organization. In addition, data quality, accuracy, completeness metrics are also key to identify trends in those areas and identify key operational points that may need to be addressed to ensure those metrics continue to trend up. Lastly ensureing the proper data stewardship is defined and workflows are in place around the CCAR data required for the report.
All of the above items are critical to CCAR reporting to ensure accurate data is reported to the governing body (ie. Federal Reserve Board, European Banking Authority) and stress test models are applied and no unwanted “implications” to a negative stress test outcome occur.
The Collibra Data Governance Center enables organizations to easily, establish ownership of CCAR related data elements, both from the report level of aggregated values down to the values for those fields at the department or line of business level. Lineage and traceability are also key, allowing for easy reporting on key changes and impact analysis around the data elements and the process flows they go through before they reach the CCAR report. Lastly there is also traceability to view the owner of the report itself (ie: responsible party for preparing and submitting the report.
