New York, September 7, 2016 – Collibra, a leader in data governance software solutions for business users, today announced New Jersey-basedInformation Asset, a data governance-focused consulting and training firm and longtime member of the Collibra Partner Program, has launched three new data governance accelerators to help organizations more quickly gain value from their data.
“Information Asset is one of the foremost subject matter experts on data governance and the Collibra platform,” said Robert Rich, Director, Partner Management, Collibra. “These new accelerators will help further differentiate Information Asset’s service offerings in the market and drive additional value for Collibra clients.”
The new accelerators include:
• IBM InfoSphere Information Governance Catalog – Collibra Integration: The Collibra data governance template supports the movement of business terms between Collibra and IBM InfoSphere Information Governance Catalog (IGC). Information Asset has created functionality that extends that template to support movement of technical metadata from IGC to Collibra (e.g., movement of metadata relating to DB2 columns and tables).
• IBM Security Guardium – Collibra Integration: Data governance presents a complex journey for many organizations. No matter where a company is in its data governance maturity, data integrations are a core consideration. Information Asset has created an integration solution between IBM Security Guardium and the Collibra data governance platform. This accelerator provides integration to support the automated transfer of data policies from IBM Security Guardium to Collibra.
• HR Data Governance Accelerator: Human resources departments are starting to focus on employee data to support initiatives such as workforce analytics. The HR Data Governance accelerator leverages the Collibra platform as the foundational tool to help organizations derive value through their biggest assets – people and data.“We’re focused on continuously working to deliver advanced solutions to help companies leverage the true value of data governance,” said Sunil Soares, Information Asset Founder & Managing Partner. “Our new accelerators will enable Collibra customers to leverage their investments in technically-oriented tools and seamlessly bring information about metadata and data policies from those tools into Collibra.”
