Principal Cloud Architect

Meeting your future team:

Joining Collibra’s Architecture team:

  • Reporting to Collibra’s VP of Architecture, this role will have direct responsibility for driving Collibra’s multi-cloud SaaS strategy for both the commercial and public sector markets. 
  • You will work internally with Software Architecture and externally with Production Engineering, Product Management, and Security to set the overall direction for commercial SaaS solutions on AWS, GCP, and Azure, and for public sector solutions on AWS GovCloud and private cloud.

Principal Cloud Architects at Collibra are responsible for:

  • Drive Collibra’s multi-cloud SaaS strategy for both the commercial and public sector markets.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Production Engineering, Product Management, Security, and US Government System Integrators to design a write once deploy anywhere framework for delivering Collibra’s Data Intelligence Cloud. 
  • Identify creative ways to leverage cloud specific technologies in a cloud agnostic way to maximize value and performance while minimizing operational cost and overhead.

You Have:

  • 10+ years designing enterprise-grade software solutions.
  • 5+ years designing commercial SaaS offerings on AWS and GCP (Azure is a plus).
  • 5+ years designing public sector software solutions for private and virtual private clouds (AWS GovCloud) supporting various FedRAMP impact levels. 
  • A deep understanding of Kubernetes and experience with multi-cloud management platforms like Anthos and OpenShift. 
  • Experience designing SaaS solutions that run across multiple global regions in adherence with local regulatory requirements (GDPR, SOC2, etc…)
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent related working experience is required

  • Curious and innovative by nature, but grounded in providing value to our customers, technology choices are driven by business needs.
  • Proficient in documenting complex software architecture and cloud deployment models.
  • Familiar with various cloud vendors security and networking concepts and protocols.
  • Someone who possesses strong collaboration skills and embraces a one team mentality.
  • Experienced with agile development and scrum based methodologies.

Measuring Success:

Reporting to Collibra’s VP of Architecture, Principal Cloud Architect’s measures of success are:

  • Within your first month, you will complete Engineering onboarding and gain a deep understanding of our products and architecture.
  • Within your third month, you will network with stakeholders and start plotting the course for the cloud-native modernization of Collbra’s multi-cloud SaaS products.
  • Within your sixth month, you will have a documented multi-cloud architecture in place, and will be working to prove out technologies and establish an execution plan.
