Director of Engineering
DUTIES: Lead engineering team and oversee the build out of distributed engineering organization in the development and delivery of high quality software. Measure, evaluate, and improve the overall performance and efficiency of engineering teams. Plan and align future roadmaps in collaboration with Product, Design, Quality Assurance, Operations, and Engineering teams. Contribute to the security side of Matching innovation within the cloud. Drive innovations and designs for future Collibra patents focused on Master Data management. Direct delivery of software using Agile methodologies in a SaaS environment. Serve as subject matter expert for scrum team and be involved in architecting scalable data processing products. EOE.
REQTS: Must have Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, IT Management, or a related field plus at least eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in the position offered or as a Senior Software Engineer Manager, Software Development Manager, or a related position. Must have at least eight (8) years of experience with all the following in a technical lead engineering role: Building out engineering organization to develop and deliver high quality software using Agile methodologies; Utilizing Data Governance,
Master Data management and analytics products including installation, configuration, integration and maintenance of these products; Utilizing Java, J2EE, Javascript, Python, Spark to lead development, code and maintain products in portfolio; Linux, Vmware, and Hadoop or equivalent; Oracle, DB2, and PostgresSQL or equivalent; and Conducting scrums, leading and participating in Agile based development; and Utilizing knowledge of Banking, Telecom, Healthcare and Insurance domains. Additionally, must have at least six (6) years of experience with all of the following: Implementing cloud native multi-tenant enterprise software with container based micro services architecture; Utilizing Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Spark, Hadoop, and Elastic Search to lead development, code and maintain products in portfolio; Utilizing nosql databases including Hbase, Cassandra, FoundationDb or equivalent; and Graph database technologies including Janusgraph or equivalent. Up to 20% travel to various and unanticipated company and client locations internationally. Option to work remotely in any location nationally.
HOURS: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:30-5:30
