Business Intelligence & Analytics Manager

Joining Collibra’s Strategy and Operations team

The team works at the intersection of Product, Design and Engineering, with a strong Customer focus. Our mission is to be a trusted partner, providing processes and information that deliver a better experience and more value to our customers, faster.

We are looking for a Business Intelligence and Analytics Manager (IC) who will lead efforts to enhance our product analytics discipline and take full ownership of product usage observability. You will proactively identify opportunities, design solutions, and collaborate across teams to drive data-informed decision-making at Collibra.

You will report to the Director of Strategic Insights and work primarily with stakeholders across all functions in Product. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with other Business and Data Intelligence Analysts across Collibra to develop a culture of data-driven decision-making.

This is a hybrid role based in our Brussels office. Our hybrid model means you’ll work from the office at least two days each week. This setup helps us stay connected, work more closely together, and keep making progress as a team.

Business Intelligence Analysts at Collibra are responsible for

  • Own product usage observability end-to-end: identify key engagement points, define methodologies, and deliver scalable measurement solutions.
  • Proactively propose and drive initiatives to strengthen our product analytics capabilities, focusing on improving data quality, insight generation, and usage patterns.
  • Collaborate closely with subject matter experts and leaders across Product and Engineering to define and refine key metrics.
  • Design, develop, and continuously improve user-friendly, self-service reporting and analytics solutions, ensuring data consistency and clarity.
  • Create compelling dashboards and visualizations that highlight actionable insights and business opportunities.
  • Translate complex findings into strategic recommendations for product improvements and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to strategic planning by bringing a consultative perspective and framing data-driven insights in business context.

You have

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics and reporting, preferably in a SaaS context.
  • Experience visualizing data effectively. You can make data tell the story, using any tools at your disposal, including business intelligence tools like Tableau, Looker or Power BI.
  • Experience in data exploration and wrangling. You can interrogate data stored in relational databases with SQL and productionalize data pipelines using tools like dbt. Programming experience with Python and/or Java is a plus.
  • Experience building data models. You operate with an understanding of thoughtful model design, query performance, and code maintainability.
  • Exposure to SaaS productivity tools. You’ve used or understand the purpose of tools like Jira, Salesforce, Pendo, Centercode, Aha!, Zendesk and Collibra, and know how to combine diverse data they generate to tell a story.
  • Solid understanding of statistics and product measurement frameworks. You apply appropriate methods to analyze engagement, retention, and feature adoption with clarity and rigor.
  • Effective communication skills and a consultative mindset. You distill complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations for diverse audiences.
  • Strong ownership, initiative, and outcome orientation. You proactively identify opportunities, define solutions, and drive initiatives that strengthen product analytics and usage observability.
  • Eligible to work in Brussels.

You are

  • Deep appreciation for data and its role in decision-making.
  • A story teller, bringing data to life.
  • A builder, creating data products to solve problems and unlock growth.
  • A customer champion, translating usage patterns into product improvements.
  • A team player, helping us grow our business and growing with it.
  • An effective communicator.
  • Outcome orientated with an excellent work ethic.

Measures of success

  • First Month: Develop a strong understanding of Collibra’s current product analytics and observability landscape. Build relationships with key Product, Design, and Engineering stakeholders.
  • Third Month: Propose and launch at least one initiative aimed at improving product usage observability or analytics practices. Deliver incremental improvements to existing reporting.
  • Sixth Month: Deliver your first major product analytics initiative.
