Collibra recognized as a Leader for the second consecutive year in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant for Data and Analytics Governance Platforms

Today, we're proud to share that Gartner has named Collibra a Leader in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Data and Analytics Governance Platforms. This marks our second consecutive appearance as a Leader since last year’s inaugural report.

Being named a Leader and scoring well across all of the use cases evaluated in the report is a significant honor. We feel that this validates our long-term strategy to unify governance for data and AI and to support organizations with a platform designed for clarity, trust and control.

This Magic Quadrant™ focuses on platforms that help organizations create governance policies, operationalize them, and monitor how they perform across complex data ecosystems – and reflects a broader shift in the market: Governance is no longer a back-office function. It is becoming the foundation for every data and AI initiative.

Why Collibra stands out

Gartner identified several strengths that illustrate why Collibra is positioned as a Leader. These areas align closely with what we hear from our customers and with where the market is heading.

1. A governance platform designed for the full data and AI lifecycle

Our vision for the Collibra Platform is to deliver an end-to-end solution to govern data and AI, within a single control and context plane. Differentiating ourselves from others, we accomplish this by unifying not only data and AI governance, but also cataloging, lineage, observability, quality, and privacy in one place.

At its core, the Collibra Platform leverages a semantic graph to map relationships and provide relevant context for various personas–streamlining data consumption and facilitating high data trust across the enterprise.

As the scale of data and AI initiatives grows exponentially, the demands on governance shift well beyond simple data cataloging. Our unified platform is designed precisely for this modern challenge, becoming essential for traceability, quality, and responsible use across the entire data and AI lifecycle.

We believe this report reinforces our forward-thinking strategy, by highlighting the comprehensive scope of the platform. Notably, our ability to meet contemporary governance needs by supporting unstructured data, data products and AI initiatives.

Beyond core functionality, the report also points to Collibra’s use of AI to streamline the user experience. Our investment in AI-driven stewardship reflects a forward-thinking roadmap for the platform’s future.

This commitment not only addresses today's comprehensive governance needs but also showcases our vision for an AI-powered, future-proof platform, ensuring Collibra is ready to handle tomorrow's complexity today.

2. An ecosystem that accelerates adoption

In the report, Gartner noted Collibra’s partner ecosystem, pointing to a bi-directional integration with SAP, as well as native integrations with over 100 applications and data environments.

These integrations matter because most organizations operate across multicloud, hybrid and distributed data landscapes. Because we meet teams where they already work, Collibra increases data visibility and accessibility across business and technical domains, speeding up time-to-value.

3. Unified governance for data and AI

The report underscores the importance of dedicated AI governance capabilities. The Collibra Platform serves as a controlled AI inventory by effectively managing metadata and automating policy enforcement to help ensure critical regulatory and compliance standards are met.

As AI investment accelerates, organizations need a consistent way to govern models, training data and AI use cases. Collibra connects these elements so teams can move quickly while maintaining oversight, safety and compliance.

Why organizations choose Collibra

Governance has moved from a back-office requirement to a strategic capability. Expanded AI adoption, and increasingly complex regulatory expectations and distributed data architectures have raised the bar for how data and AI must be managed. Today, leaders need visibility, automation and a platform that helps technical and business teams work in sync. Collibra provides that foundation.

Customers rely on Collibra because unified governance creates something essential and often missing in complex environments. It creates trust. And trust is not an abstract benefit. It is the outcome of very concrete capabilities:

Trust comes from shared context. When every team sees the same lineage, definitions, and policies, they no longer debate whose version of the truth to follow. Trust comes from repeatable processes. Automated controls and consistent policy enforcement allow teams to move quickly without fear of violating rules or introducing risk. Trust comes from traceability. When AI use cases, models, training data, and decisions are documented in one place, leaders can validate how outcomes were produced and defend them when needed. And trust comes from clarity. Business users understand the data they rely on. Technical teams understand how it’s used. And executives understand where risks and opportunities sit.

As this trust accumulates across systems and teams, you’ll stop treating governance as a checkpoint. You’ll start treating it as an enabler that accelerates AI responsibly and delivers insights with confidence. Ultimately, it’s your best strategy for creating Data ConfidenceTM at scale.
