"If we have data, let's look at data. If all we have are opinions, let's go with mine."

Adam Coladipietro has led a data driven life since the age of six, when he first started arguing over Lego and Halloween candies with his brothers. his is the kind of data governance leader who reads metadata like bedtime stories and dreams in data lineage diagrams. With over 15 years of experience wrangling unruly datasets and turning data governance frameworks into business superpowers, Adam currently leads the data governance charge at BCLC, where he’s built a data governance program that’s as robust as it is respected.

Before BCLC, Adam left his mark at Vancity Credit Union, where he helped transform enterprise data practices and made “data stewardship” sound almost glamorous. A proud graduate of the Caruthers & Jackson Chief Data Officer School, he recently received his Change Management Practitioner certificate, he is fluent in the language of data leadership, change management, and “getting things done”. An unabashed animal lover and serial eco-entrepreneur, Adam also co-founded Canada's first organic dog grooming salon, and started Vancouver's first organic, all-natural pet care product line.

Whether he’s evangelizing data literacy or hanging out with wildlife in the backyard of his mountain home in Nelson, BC, Adam brings sharp insights, a dash of wit, and a whole lot of passion to every conversation. If you think data governance is boring, you haven’t heard Adam speak.
