Turn AI activity into measurable business oversight
AI adoption is outpacing the controls meant to govern it. Every new AI use case, agent, and model increases the complexity of the AI landscape, making it harder for leaders to understand what is running, who owns it, and whether it can be trusted. Gartner predicts that by 2027, 60% of organizations will fail to realize the expected value of their AI initiatives due to fragmented governance frameworks. AI Command Center serves as the enterprise AI control plane, bringing AI use cases, agents, models, and governance signals into a single operational view. Business Metrics extends that foundation by turning day-to-day AI activity into measurable oversight, helping leaders understand what is trusted, where risk is concentrated, and where action is needed first.
What's new: Business metrics
Business Metrics is a new dashboard in AI Command Center that turns day-to-day AI activity into measurable business oversight. At its core is the AI Trust Score, which provides a governance score for every AI use case, AI agent, and AI model. Business Metrics then brings those scores together, helping organizations identify patterns, monitor trust at scale, and understand the overall health of their AI portfolio.
Alongside the Trust Score, Business Metrics surfaces risk exposure and the safeguards in place to manage it, making it clear where high-impact AI initiatives are properly controlled and where they aren’t. Instead of static reports, leaders get a live, governance-driven view that connects AI signals to operational insight, enabling them to spot trends, prioritize action, and make informed decisions across their AI landscape.

How business metrics help
As AI footprints grow, oversight breaks down: trust is assessed inconsistently, risk lives in spreadsheets, and leadership lacks a single, measurable view of whether AI is under control. Teams can tell you how many models they have, but not how trustworthy or how risky those models are in business terms. Business metrics give organizations a shared, quantified way to monitor AI trust, balance risk against safeguards, and prioritize action, connecting governance work to decisions leaders actually make.
Problems business metrics solves
Business metrics directly address the following critical challenges that arise as AI adoption scales across the enterprise:
- No scalable way to measure AI trust across many use cases, agents and models
- Risk exposure is tracked inconsistently and disconnected from the safeguards meant to control it
- Leadership lacks measurable, business-level signals to make informed AI decisions
- Hard to identify gaps and prioritize where governance effort should go next
- Accountability is diffuse. There is no clear, quantified picture of who owns what and how it's performing
How business metrics work
Business metrics lives in the AI Command Center Dashboard and is organized around the AI Trust Score. The score can be viewed across three tabs — use cases, AI agents and AI models — so teams can monitor trust at the level that matters to them and drill into where scores are weakest.
Use case risk distribution: risk exposure mapped against safeguards in place.
Trust is visualized as a heatmap across the AI lifecycle stages — intention, development, validation, deployment, innovation and optimization — with shading that reflects the volume of assets in each stage (banded from 0–100 up to 400+ assets). This makes it easy to spot where trust concentrates and where coverage thins out across the lifecycle.
A use case risk distribution view maps risk against safeguards in a matrix — High/Medium/Low risk against High/Medium/Low safeguards — so leaders can immediately see whether high-risk initiatives carry strong enough controls and where exposure is unmanaged.

Why you should be excited
Business metrics transforms AI governance from a reactive necessity into a proactive strategic driver, providing the clarity needed to ensure your AI initiatives are trusted, controlled, and aligned with business goals.
Chief Data & AI Officers
- Monitor AI trust and portfolio maturity at scale across every use case, agent, and model from one dashboard
- Get measurable, business-level signals to brief leadership and the board with confidence
AI Governance Leaders
- Gain centralized oversight of AI initiatives and governance signals in real time
- Identify gaps, prioritize remediation, and strengthen accountability for specific assets
AI product owners
- Track risk exposure against the safeguards in place to ensure high-impact AI is properly controlled and policy-aligned
- Quickly spot high-risk, low-safeguard initiatives that need intervention
Use cases
See how these teams leverage business metrics to operationalize their AI strategy.
- A CDO reviews AI Trust Scores ahead of a board update and pinpoints which use cases are dragging trust down, then assigns owners to close the gaps.
- A compliance lead uses the risk distribution matrix to find high-risk use cases with weak safeguards and routes them for additional controls before deployment.
Key takeaways about business metrics
Business metrics is where AI governance becomes measurable. By unifying trust, risk, and safeguards into one dashboard built on the Collibra Platform, it turns governance signals into operational insight — reinforcing the launch theme of turning AI activity into business oversight from a single, connected source.
Three things to remember
- AI Trust Scores let you monitor AI trust at scale across use cases, agents, and models
- Mapping risk against safeguards keeps high-impact AI controlled and policy-aligned
- Business metrics connect governance signals to the insights leaders need to decide
