Collibra is more than a company— it’s a community. That might sound like a cliché, but after almost ten years here, I can confidently say it’s true. I joined Collibra as one of the earliest members of the People team and have grown personally and professionally alongside the company’s growth. I have watched the company transform from a niche player to a recognized leader, helping our customers accelerate progress on all of their data and AI needs, safely with well-understood data. Over the years, I’ve watched our product mature, our impact grow, and our culture evolve. That is why we are introducing a new cultural framework— one that illustrates our advanced vision and mission.

Our evolved cultural framework aligns closely with our refreshed Collibra story— one centered on the transformative power of AI and the confidence that comes when organizations can trust their data. We call this Data Confidence, and it’s more than a concept — it’s a feeling – one that inspires action and progress.
Our new cultural framework builds from this feeling of confidence by addressing the goals of not just our employees, but the entire Collibra community from customers, to partners, to investors – all Data Citizens. Our new culture story answers three distinct questions:
- Why we exist
- How we’ll deliver our vision
- How we work together
By answering these three questions, we hope to connect with our Data Citizens community, inspire Collibrians, and clearly set our priorities and focus for the future.

For years, we’ve said our customers are our true north — and that’s still true. But as we thought about the future, especially in the context of AI, we knew our vision had to go further. It had to answer not just what Collibra does but why we exist. We wanted our vision to be expansive enough to carry us into the future, especially as AI redefines what possibility looks like.
Our vision of powering possibility through data is bold and expansive. As someone who’s been here for a decade, I know we are not just building a better data platform. We’re creating the conditions for businesses to imagine and achieve what wasn’t possible before. Now, we’re doubling down on being the foundational force behind our customers’ biggest breakthroughs.
Our mission: Empowering Data Citizens
We’ve always been driven by a clear mission: to make data meaningful and unite the Data Citizens community. That remains true today. What’s new is how we’re evolving that mission to reflect the opportunities — and responsibilities — of the AI era. Our mission is to empower Data Citizens to take command of data and AI, transforming possibilities into progress. This focus on people — the Data Citizens who use data and AI to drive real outcomes — is what sets us apart. We’re not just enabling access to data; we’re empowering individuals to lead with it.

Values are really the lifeblood of any organization. They guide how we work, how we lead, and how we succeed. As we evolved our cultural framework, we were intentional about preserving the values that have grounded us while expanding them to reflect our broader community.

That’s why I’m so proud to introduce these values to our entire community.
