Project objectives

Customer is seeking to upgrade from earlier “dot” releases of version 5 the Collibra Data Governance Center (DGC) to Collibra Platform 5.7, on-premises.

Out of scope

Any and all tasks not detailed in the IN SCOPE section above are considered out of scope, including:

  1. Database administration (DBA) responsibilities including configuration or administration of database servers and database software.
  2. Knowledge of third-party software APIs and interface mechanisms needed for Collibra Connect integration.
  3. Use of third-party test automation software or test automation expertise.
  4. Custom report development using third party tools.
  5. Integration with other systems not specifically included above.
  6. Data preparation and sourcing or extraction of data from the source systems.
  7. Design, configuration and implementation of high availability or disaster recovery environments.
  8. Program management is the responsibility of Customer including all communication with the steering committee.

Assumptions

The following are key assumptions for this SOW:

  1. Collibra will be guiding Customer through the upgrade and we will be working side-by-side with Customer resources to complete upgrade steps in development environment.
  2. Scope of work is limited to guidance for migrating current environment. No additional feature or functionality will be worked as part of this SOW.
  3. The Customer has identified out-of-the-box workflows and custom workflows to be migrated to Collibra Platform version 5.7. Re-design of workflows to add new functionality is not in scope.
  4. Collibra consultants will make maximum use of out-of-box product capabilities to minimize custom development.
  5. It is assumed that the Customer integration developers will be upgrading the existing integrations.
  6. The project is assumed to run three (3) consecutive weeks. Delays will require a change request that will detail impact to timeline and costs.
  7. Week 1 is for planning with very part-time involvement from Solution Implementation Manager and Solution Architect
  8. Week 2 is expected to be full-time for Solution Architect and part-time involvement from Solution Implementation Manager
  9. Collibra will guide Customer with upgrade of development environment. Customer is responsible for performing and coordinating upgrades of test and production environments. After Collibra professional services disengages, it is recommended that Customer leverage Coaching Services for any additional advice or questions that come up.
  10. Customer is responsible for all other testing
  11. It is assumed that the work will be performed remotely, no onsite presence is required.
  12. The Customer will provide machines and network access if Collibra consultants are not permitted to use their Collibra issued laptop (Mac or PC).
  13. The customer will make available key team members during the upgrade.
  14. Collibra personnel shall be deployed during Collibra’s normal operating hours in the location of work.
  15. Customer acknowledges that Collibra may utilize subcontractors in its performance of the Services hereunder.
  16. Customer acknowledges that the expected schedule is based on Collibra’s industry experience. While performing the Services hereunder, Collibra may encounter unforeseen circumstances that increase the effort required to fulfill its obligations. Therefore, Customer hereby agrees that should Collibra require any additional hours and/or days to complete the objectives in the Description of Services, the parties shall mutually agree upon a change order setting out the amended scope and/or fees for such additional hours. Collibra shall use its best efforts to provide to Customer as much advance notice of any such additional hours as possible.
  17. Customer will reimburse Collibra for reasonable travel and lodging expenses it incurs in providing Professional Services in accordance with Collibra’s Travel Policy.
  18. The project is expected to be completed within twelve (12) months from the Order Effective Date. Collibra shall not be obligated to perform any Services or provide any Deliverables after this expiration even if the estimated Professional Services time stated above has not been fully utilized in the twelve (12) month period following the Effective Date. The parties will negotiate in good faith a change order should any additional days/hours be required beyond the foregoing time period.

  • Responsible for configuring Collibra’s software per Customer’s instructions. Resolve technical issues, develop specified workflows and perform integrations.
  • Perform architecture and design sessions for Collibra DGC, Workflow and Metadata Integrations.
  • Develop and test workflows that meet the requirements agreed with Customer.
