David McCandless to Speak at Collibra Data Citizens Conference

McCandless’s talk will explore the beauty and ubiquity of data.

McCandless has championed the use of infographics and data visualizations to explore new directions for journalism and design. His popular blog and best-selling book, Information Is Beautiful, is dedicated to visualizing ideas, issues, knowledge and data – and to discovering new patterns and stories in the sea of data.David McCandless is a London-based author, data-journalist, and information designer, working across print, advertising, TV, and web. His work is a response to the changing world of data and information. McCandless believes that in this age of high-speed living and information overload, visualized information has incredible potential to help us quickly understand, navigate, and find meaning in a complex world. At the same time, daily exposure to the web is creating an information design-literate population who demand their information in visual form.
