Collibra Data Citizen Conference, May 3-4, to Tackle Fundamental Changes in How Businesses Access, Use and Manage Data
New York, NY, April 21, 2016 — Collibra, a leader in data governance software solutions for business users, today announced its inaugural Data Citizens Conference, May 3-4, 2016 in New York, will host nearly 200 business users focused exclusively on new approaches to data governance, making the event the world’s largest gathering of key stakeholders interested in the trends and technologies driving fundamental changes in how businesses access, use and manage data.
About the Data Citizens Conference“Businesses that understand how to unlock and optimize their data across the organization, at every level, are the ones that power better customer experiences and spark value-generating innovation,” said Felix Van de Maele, CEO of Collibra. “Open collaboration has become the order of the day for companies that appreciate how data can drive new levels of operational excellence. I’m excited about the conversations that will take place during our Data Citizens Conference, including sharing of best practices and the latest thinking in data governance in an age of big data and enterprise-wide data governance adoption.”
The Collibra Data Citizens Conference will offer attendees, including Chief Data Officers and other business data users, a unique opportunity to explore modern, holistic data governance and interact with peers who are tackling the challenges of driving change in how data is used, nurtured and governed in their organizations.
The event kicks off on Tuesday, May 3, with a keynote presentation from data journalist and designer David McCandless entitled, “Data is Beautiful: Harnessing the power of visualization to surface insight, pattern and stories from numbers.” Sessions throughout both days of the Conference will take a deep dive into critical data topics including real-life case studies about how to drive enterprise-wide data governance adoption; building a data governance business case; data governance for big data analytics; and hands-on, in-person training and certification workshops conducted by Collibra University.
