Director, Test Engineering
Joining Collibra’s Test Engineering team
As our Director, Test Engineering, you will lead the design and development of test strategies for Collibra products. You will be committed to implement, measure impact and report on the quality assurance activities for a product group. You will share subject matter expertise on a variety of testing methodologies relevant to our business environment and you will develop and up-level the testing skills of Collibra cross-functional agile teams.
The Director, Test Engineering is responsible for:
- Driving Quality culture changes by collaborating with cross functional stakeholders
- Design and drive innovating testing strategies across across multiple products, ensuring the successful execution of test strategies
- Optimize the testing approach and increase quality by leveraging context driven testing and shift-left principles
- Provide recommendations regarding issues, processes, and testing procedures and proactively seek opportunities to test efficiently and reduce cycle time
- Identify quality/testing improvement opportunities,run pilot projects to measure their impact, and guide the adoption within the engineering teams
- Coach, develop and recruit the testing team and peer group to keep up with software release cycles and company growth
You have:
- A minimum 10 years of experience in the software testing industry, with 5 years of direct management experience of testing teams
- Experience managing people in a large, globally distributed organization
- Experience driving Quality transformation in a fast paced environment
- Experience with automated testing tools, software development, and testing methodologies
- Experience with Context-Driven testing practices and methods, preferably in a SaaS environment
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent related working experience is required
- This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Measures of success:
- Within your first month you will have an assessment of testing strategy of the portfolio , identify gaps and co-create solutions to fill those gaps
- Within your third month you will have started implementing and measure KPIs and noticing a positive trend
- Within your sixth month you will establish scalable testing practices that keep up with software release cycles and company growth
Compensation for this role
The standard base salary range for this position is $168,000 - $210,000 per year. This position is not eligible for additional commission-based compensation. Salary offers are based on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, and location.
In addition to base salary, we offer equity ownership at every level, bonus potential, a Flex Fund monthly stipend, pension/401k plans, and more.
