Team Lead, Business Systems

Joining Collibra’s Corporate IT team

The IT Enterprise Applications and System Integrations team partners with Collibra’s business stakeholders to drive evaluation of business processes, gather requirements, uncover areas for improvement and work with cross-functional teams to define, develop and implement solutions around accounting and finance processes.  This role will report into the Sr. Director of Enterprise Applications. 

The Team Lead of IT Finance Systems will have a hands-on role, will partner closely with company and functional strategic teams to ensure the IT strategy is closely aligned with business strategy.

The successful candidate is a tested, nimble, innovative, influential and process-oriented leader with a proven track record to deliver large scale enterprise initiatives for our Finance Organization.

The Team Lead, IT Business Systems (Finance Apps) at Collibra is responsible for:

  • Partnering with Accounting, FP&A, Procurement and Business Operations teams to understand existing processes, challenges and recommending future opportunities as projects that align with business needs.  
  • Managing daily work of Business System Analysts focused and collaborating with cross-functional operational teams to support, assess, and prioritize Collibra’s Finance-related business needs.
  • Building and maintaining a roadmap of Finance projects that integrates into the broader IT PMO Roadmap, aligns with  Finance and other key system owners’  other major corporate system initiatives. Defining detailed business/functional requirements, process flow diagrams, and use cases. 
  • Taking a hands-on approach to troubleshooting complex process, functional, and application issues and managing these through to resolution.
  • Partnering with the IT PMO Project Manager to drive the design, development, test and delivery of new technologies/products to ensure achievement of business objectives across Finance. 
  • Managing the intake of Finance-related reported issues or enhancement requests, identifying technical root causes, and developing/deploying effective resolutions via a recurring Release cadence. Leading assessment of new systems from business case analysis, vendor evaluation, decision making, and licensing.

You have:

  • 8+ years of proven experience managing successful projects and implementing technical solutions for Finance processes, systems, and life cycles.
  • 4+ years of experience in people management.
  • Experience with Netsuite, Coupa,  Adaptive, and other Saas enterprise applications. Strong technical application design experience and solid business acumen around Finance processes, segregation of duties, and internal controls.
  • Experience solving multiple and complex operational and accounting challenges within and across the Finance function and in as much as it integrates with other up- and down-stream departments’ functions and systems.
  • Experience managing, building, and training a growing team of exceptional performers.
  • Extensive implementation and product experience with Oracle NetSuite in a consulting role, minimum of 5 years; additional experience with other ERP systems with a combined total of 10 years of experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • Comfortable working both independently and as a collaborative facilitator to elicit buy-in between teams to drive a unified vision and structured plan for delivery. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Measures of success:

  • Within your first month, you will absorb fundamental knowledge about Collibra’s Finance  processes/tools and start building team & cross-functional relationships. 
  • Within your third month, you will operationally manage the IT/Finance Business Systems & Support team, take ownership of escalations, collaborate on and achieve quarterly OKRs (Objectives & Key Results) around Support and release output.
  • Within your sixth month, you will be defining and recommending business process strategy with Netsuite ARM, Adaptive and other enterprise applications and integrations that are managed by IT.

Compensation for this role 

The standard base salary range for this position is $116,000 - $174,000 per year. This position is not eligible for additional commission-based compensation. Salary offers are based on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, and location.
