Director, Content Design

Meeting your future team:

Joining Collibra’s Product Design team:

We are looking for a Content Design Director to join our design leadership team to evolve our content design practice to be an integral part of how we transform the Collibra product user experience. In this role, you will report the VP of Product Design, contributing as an equal member of the design leadership team. The ideal candidate is a content design thought leader, capable of making data informed decisions to help us improve the quality and cohesion across the user experience.

The Content Design Director at Collibra is responsible for:

  • Becoming a trusted and strategic partner to product stakeholders by communicating and demonstrating the value of content design
  • Setting a clear purpose, vision, goals and expectations for a global cross-functional team of IA, UX Writers, Technical Writers and Content Strategists
  • Working closely with our design system team to integrate and develop our writing and style guide
  • Building a diverse and inclusive environment across the team
  • Championing and contributing to the work of the content design team

You Have:

  • Experience in successfully building and leading content teams in enterprise or consumer technology companies
  • Knowledge of accessibility and internationalization standards for content
  • Experience shepherding content throughout an agile development process
  • 5+ years of experience directly managing, coaching and developing full-time employees
  • 1+ years of experience managing managers

You Are:

  • Curious, comfortable asking questions, and always learning how to effectively champion your organization
  • Experienced working with UX and product design teams
  • An inspiring leader, elevating the craft of those around you

Reporting to Collibra’s VP of Product Design, measures of success are:

  • Within your first month, you will complete our onboarding process, get to know your team, understand Collibra’s vision and strategy, and become familiar with Collibra products and product design practices
  • Within your third month, you will have a good understanding of the team, our challenges and priorities, and you will have an early understanding of the opportunities an evolved content design practice can provide
  • Within your sixth month, you will define the strategic vision for content design and be executing on your plan
