Frontend Web Developer

Joining Collibra’s Digital Marketing Team:

The Digital Marketing Team at Collibra is looking for an experienced AEM Frontend Developer who will be responsible for maintaining and developing Collibra’s public-facing corporate website that serves as a major marketing tool.  In this essential role, you will partner closely with and report to the Senior Manager Digital Marketing. Together, you will ensure that the website is thoroughly optimized to meet the company's goals and provides a great and seamless experience for its visitors. 

The Digital Marketing Team prides itself on being able to collaborate effectively across many departments within the organization and being able to deliver fast and high-impact solutions.

Frontend Web Developers at Collibra are responsible for:

  • Maintaining and developing Collibra’s website AEM (Adobe Experience Manager Cloud) templates, components, content fragments and modules
  • Routinely testing the website for ease of use, speed and other quality factors
  • Ensuring accessibility standards are met across platforms and devices
  • Collaborating with a variety of Collibrians internally - e.g. Content, Design, Production, Operations, Product, Legal, UX and other Developers, as well as our external partners and agencies
  • Understanding the current architecture of our tech stack and help drive the technical vision for the future architecture

You Have:

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in a corporate environment or agency with creating, styling and authoring components for AEM websites
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in a corporate environment or agency with frontend technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, Javascript Frameworks, CSS3, SASS 
  • Proficiency with WCAG guidelines and Web Accessibility development practices as well as experience with cross-browser/device responsive development
  • Understanding of key website design principles and basic SEO optimization
  • Demonstrated ability using a version control system (e.g. Bitbucket, Github, Beanstalk, Mercurial, etc.)
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience

Optional tech skills:

  • Work experience with PHP and MYSQL
  • Experience building and maintaining WordPress websites and templates
  • Experience authoring websites using WordPress

  • Analytical, detail-oriented, problem-solver and feel confident making your own decisions and executing plans
  • Comfortable working with deadlines and changing priorities
  • Keeping yourself up to date with the industry trends to help the team choose the right tool for the right job
  • Comfortable with understanding design patterns and modern architecture for frontend and explaining their business implications

Reporting to Collibra’s Senior Web Development Manager, measures of success are:

  • Within your first month, you will get fully onboarded and familiar with the environment we use and submit code to production
  • Within your third month, you will have a good understanding of your team and will bring new ideas for improvements and you will be implementing new solutions
  • By your sixth month, you will be a productive member of the team, reliably delivering quality code, participating in testing and ideation, and contributing to the success of the team’s key initiatives in 2022
