Senior FP&A Analyst

Meeting your future team:

Collibra’s Finance team is united by our relentless focus on building trusted business partnerships, solving difficult business challenges, scaling systems and processes for growth, and making a meaningful impact on our business. We embody our values of “We are one Collibra” by working, learning, and having fun together; as well as being “Open, direct and kind” with each other.  We are passionate about the role finance can play in shaping our business, take full ownership over the work we do, and are driven to get things done.

Senior FP&A Analysts at Collibra are responsible for:

  • Leading financial planning and analysis globally across different G&A departments as we continue our rapid growth.  Reporting into the Sr Manager, Corporate FP&A, you will be responsible for driving planning and forecast accuracy at both G&A functions and corporate level. You will have opportunities to rotate to other areas within G&A.
  • Building strong, trusted relationships with senior management and leaders within the G&A organizations.  You will have direct visibility to senior leadership, such as our Chief Accounting Officer, General Counsel, and be expected to directly support decision making.
  • Continually improving our financial forecasting process and accuracy within your supporting function and at corporate level.  You will work closely with our accounting and people partner teams to ensure our operational and financial planning processes run smoothly and are clearly understood across the organization. You will also support corporate FP&A including, but not limited to, updating forecast assumptions, reporting actual headcount, building standard reports for FP&A team use, etc.
  • Supporting various Adaptive implementation projects as we continue to automate our financial planning. You, under the instruction and leadership of the Senior Manager of Corporate FP&A, will work closely with our internal and external business partners to bring implementation to success. Your support will include gathering data, providing input, clarifying/establishing/documenting process, testing and training future users.
  • Leading projects outside of G&A on a regular basis. Besides supporting G&A and corporate FP&A, this role is expected to collaborate with the FP&A Manager, R&D to support various value added projects and tasks in R&D organization. The opportunity to learn and grow is beyond G&A.

You Have:

  • 2-4+ years experience in FP&A supporting the Director, VP and above levels - preferably within the technology industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics or Accounting
  • Proven experience building strong relationships with business partners across functions and countries
  • Ability to work across teams to obtain, refine, verify and analyze data  to come up with solutions and/or update financial model assumptions.
  • Solid knowledge of and ability to adapt and update financial models as needed. Expertise in understanding and analyzing variances of the key financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Free Cash Flow)
  • Experience managing workloads in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience with cloud-based planning/modeling tools (Adaptive Planning experience preferred)

You Are:

  • A thoughtful collaborator, and great listener, keenly focused on understanding business challenges, building strong relationships and driving even stronger outcomes.
  • Interested in a role with a good balance between routine and non-routine tasks and tremendous opportunities to learn and grow across various areas in a fast pace software company
  • Detail oriented and able to zoom out of details when needed.  You love to “roll up the sleeves” and get into the data and analysis while keeping the bigger picture in focus.
  • An excellent communicator capable of translating complex, nuanced, or detailed analysis into clear, actionable summaries or recommendations.
  • Comfortable in ambiguity, thrive through change, are highly adaptable and can create clarity and focus in a dynamic environment

Measuring Success:

  • Within your first month, you will begin to develop strong relationships with business partners that you support including understanding their top priorities and pain points; and other business partners from Accounting, Procurement and People Partners
  • Within your third month, you will have been proficient in Adaptive Planning, including owning the monthly financial forecast of your supporting departments, updating corporate forecast assumptions and performing monthly maintenance tasks in Adaptive Planning
  • Within your sixth month, you will have become the trusted go-to finance partner not only for your supporting departments but also for the FP&A team; able to own and lead Adaptive enhancement and R&D projects.
