Salesforce Manager

Joining Collibra’s IT Enterprise Applications Team:

The IT Enterprise Applications and System Integrations team partners with Collibra’s business stakeholders to configure, optimize, and implement Corporate Cloud Applications, deliver an integration strategy with a strong investment around Salesforce and other Saas applications, and provide on-going support of those applications/systems. This role will report into the Sr.Director of Enterprise Applications.

The Salesforce Engineering Manager at Collibra will be responsible for:

  • Partner with Business stakeholders and provide Salesforce and CPQ platform expertise in designing and developing best-of-breed solutions.
  • Responsible for designing, recommending and delivering best possible solutions for the internal customers.
  • Collaborate with business systems analysts, project managers and business partners to build technology enablement roadmaps including timelines.
  • Steer effective collaboration with internal customers, development team and the peer teams.
  • Manage the Salesforce and CPQ change request queue and provide recommendations on best solutions.
  • Manage a team of Salesforce engineers responsible for design, delivery of projects & enhancements.
  • Responsible for hands-on development of key features, performing code reviews for the team and ensuring quality.
  • Be a technical Evangelist for the Salesforce org and proactively identify Technical debt and improvements.
  • Provides technical leadership and guidance for new software selection including development of RFP, review, and evaluation of commercial software solutions.

You Have:

  • 7+ years of  extensive Salesforce development experience with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, LWC, triggers, batch Apex, Salesforce APIs and Salesforce configuration.
  • 3+ years of team leadership and people management experience.
  • Experience with advising team members on how to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
  • Experience with Salesforce CPQ, Conga, DocuSign, Financial force or similar tools will be a big plus.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications using SOAP, REST, BULK APIs.
  • Familiarity with enterprise application integration tool experience like Workato/Dell Boomi/Mulesoft.

  • Good at facilitating structured meetings, gaining advocacy, driving decisions, and promoting positive change.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to create structure for prioritization of work across teams.
  • Able to collaborate with and coordinate a mix of business and IT professionals that includes security admins, architects, analysts and engineers.
  • Able to build a high-quality team from scratch and create an inspiring, collaborative environment with an open communication culture.
  • Able to “see the big picture” across people, process, data and systems and execute real solutions that scale.

Measuring Success:

  1. Within your first month, you will understand Collibra’s application portfolio, team priorities/initiatives and meet with business stakeholders.
  2. Within your third month, you will identify existing technical debt and provide recommendations per Salesforce, CPQ best practices. 
  3. Within your sixth month, you will be defining strategy for key Salesforce/CPQ initiatives, managing the change request process, planning a resource plan to scale the team.
