Senior Manager, Software Engineering (Frontend)

  • The Frontend Engineering Manager will manage highly experienced developers on a central team and will represent this team across the organization.

Senior Manager, Software Engineering (Frontend) at Collibra are responsible for:

  • Leading/Managing an inclusive, collaborative, and inspiring team
  • Bringing clarity on the team strategy, context, and company vision
  • Helping the team to set the right expectations with product managers, cross engineering teams, UX, and other stakeholders
  • Understanding the current architecture of our software stack and help drive the technical vision for the future architecture
  • Keeping yourself up to date with the industry trends to help the team choose the right tool for the right job

You Have:

  • A very solid professional experience as a frontend engineer and strong background as an engineering manager (people, team and technical management)
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks and libraries (e.g. React, Webpack, TypeScript, etc)
  • Extensive knowledge of software development and best practices
  • Worked in a multicultural and diverse environment
  • Actively involved in the product strategy and succeed in bringing the team vision

You Are:

  • Able to lead an engineering team by example and are produce work/code when needed
  • Excellent in communication skills (written and verbal) and a positive attitude
  • Continually looking for best practices, trends and sharing them with the team
  • Ambitious to see your team growing in their career
  • Comfortable with understanding design patterns and modern architectural for frontend and explain their business implications

Measuring Success:

  • Within your first month, you will schedule recurring 1:1s with your team and get fully onboarded on our products and company values
  • Within your third month, you will have a good understanding of your team and will bring new ideas for improvements
  • Within your sixth month, you will have a good knowledge of the product and will bring new ideas for improvements
