Joining Collibra's Sales Engineering Team:

  • As a Sales Engineer you will be responsible for all technical aspects of the sales cycle, advising customers, partners and prospects as well as helping to ensure customer satisfaction. 
  • You’ll be an essential part of the Sales Organisation at Collibra and you will collaborate with AVP, other SEs, AEs, CSMs and Product Management functions to cover foundational and technical concepts of the Collibra SaaS platform with a focus on the EMEA market.
  • In this role you will work as One Collibra, collaborating and building relationships cross-functionally and across geographies for the larger team’s success.

A day in a life of a Senior Sales Engineer at Collibra:

  • You’ll be reporting directly into the Manager of Sales Engineering in your region and will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including:

    • Conducting sales presentations and demonstrations, both on site and remote.
    • Provide sales qualification support 
    • Developing sales proposals together with Enterprise AEs and others.
    • Providing technical sales support (including technology integration).
    • Preparing and presenting the Collibra Data Intelligence SAAS platform.
    • Run end to end proof of concepts (including technology integration).
    • Preparing and providing input for technical sections of RFPs/ RFQs.
    • Communicating with product management and sales enablement on issues identified from field observations and customer feedback.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field
  • 7+ years’ experience working as a Senior Sales Engineer, must be enterprise software
  • Proven track record of demonstrating software tool solutions and executing successful proof of concept plans to enterprise prospects
  • Worked with at least three of the following: Data management, Analytics, Data Visualisation, BigData platforms, Cloud data platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS) Data Lakes, data modelling tools, API’s, Java coding, BPMN engines
  • Knowledgeable of the challenges faced by several vertical markets including high tech, financial services, healthcare, government, and retail.
  • Previous responsibilities for all technical aspects of the full sales cycle (including technical and business combined workshops and POC)

  • Able to communicate effectively, in English, via multiple channels (verbal, written) with technical and non-technical staff across internal and external organizations.
  • Someone with ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams across several geographies
  • Focused on impact, through enabling the success of others with a strong team mentality

Your first couple of months at Collibra:

  • Within your first month, you will have built relationships with key stakeholders, learn about our product offering and have completed the first part of the onboarding process.
  • Within your third month, your onboarding continues and you will be involved with customer opportunities, with support of your peers.
  • Within your sixth month, you will be mostly self supporting and independently working with the sales teams on sales engagements.
