Joining Collibra’s Quality Assurance Team:

As our Senior Director of Quality Assurance, you will lead the design and development of test strategies for Collibra products. You will be committed to implement, measure impact and report on the quality assurance activities with the support of senior managers who have overall responsibility for the successful operation of their assigned areas. You will share subject matter expertise on a variety of testing methodologies relevant to our business environment and you will develop and up-level the testing skills of Collibra cross-functional agile teams. Most importantly, you will guide and influence the transformation of the QA function and the adoption of more modern, context-driven practices in all quality assurance activities.

The Senior Director of Quality Assurance at Collibra is responsible for:

  • Design and guide quality assurance activities across multiple products, ensuring the successful execution of test strategies, plans and schedules 
  • Identify key stakeholders and collaborate with them in order to influence learning and adoption of best testing and quality strategies and practices throughout the organization 
  • Optimize the testing approach and increase quality by leveraging context driven testing principles 
  • Evaluate and report on quality risk for product releases 
  • Provide recommendations regarding issues, processes, and quality assurance procedures and proactively seek opportunities to simplify and automate existing processes 
  • Identify test design and implementation methodologies, run pilot projects to measure their impact, and guide the adoption within the engineering teams 
  • Coach and mentor team members, peer group and senior managers within Engineering 
  • Coach, develop and recruit the testing team to keep up with software release cycles and company growth

You Have:

  • A minimum 10 years of experience in the software quality assurance industry, with 5 years of direct management experience of testing teams 
  • Experience managing people in a large, globally distributed organization 
  • Experience with automated testing tools, software development, and testing methodologies 
  • Experience with Context-Driven testing practices and methods, preferably in a SaaS environment
  • Experience with a variety of software test methodologies plus the capability to innovate upon them to drive continuous improvements

Reporting to Collibra’s CTO, the measures of success are:

  • Within your first month you will have an assessment of Collibra’s software quality practices and a plan to up-level them
  • Within your third month you will implement and measure KPIs and notice a positive trend
  • Within your sixth month you will establish scalable QA practices that keep up with software release cycles and company growth
