Joining Collibra’s Software Engineering team:

  • You will be part of the central frontend team that will drive the modernization of our frontend.
  • You will collaborate with multiple product teams, understand their use cases, and develop a general strategy.
  • You will have the possibility to influence every part of the UI ecosystem in Collibra.
  • You will have a holistic view of our user journey and help product teams build scalable web applications.

Principal Software Engineers at Collibra are responsible for:

  • Coaching and mentoring our frontend engineers
  • Reviewing and participating in architectural decisions that impact our frontend, from the rendering time of the browser to our data layer, from the local developer experience to our CICD pipeline. 
  • Modernizing our frontend codebase with the newest best practices
  • Building, documenting, and evangelizing our frontend strategy
  • Collaborating with the team on technical solutions for the UX architecture/design

You Have:

  • 8 or more years of experience in frontend related web technologies
  • Experience using and designing GraphQL at scale
  • Experience with React and you are up to date with their RFCs
  • Experience with large scale single-page applications
  • Experience with concepts like asynchronous programming, functional programming, TDD, micro-frontend, and more

You Are:

  • Very well versed with React, Relay, Apollo, GraphQL/REST, and Typescript
  • Familiar with Webpack, Node, TSLint/ESLint, codemod
  • Familiar with UI testing strategies and tools, as well as CI/CD concepts
  • A strong communicator and open-minded
  • Understands software development processes and is proficient in agile methodologies

Measuring Success:

Reporting to Collibra’s Senior Software Engineer Manager, measures of success are:

  • Within your first month, you will get familiarized with front-end architecture, the development flow and tooling used in Collibra.
  • Within your third month, you will have significant influence shaping front-end architecture and development processes around it.
  • Within your sixth month, you will lead a new or existing key Front-end strategy or product.
